Join us in the makerspace for a demonstration and training on the GlowForge Pro laser cutter.  The Glowforge laser cutter is a versatile desktop device that uses a laser to cut, engrave, and score a variety of materials such as wood, acrylic, leather, fabric, and more.

  • Attendees will learn how to design a file for successful engraving/cutting using Google SlidesPhotopea, or the Glowforge’s native design environment and how to safely and sustainably operate the Glowforge Pro laser engraver.
  • For more information on how you can be successful operating the Glowforge and for a list of approved materials take a look at our Getting Started Guide.
  • Upon completion of this training, attendees will be certified to reserve and use the equipment through our Library Calendar website.

  • Attendees will gain an exposure for how the Cricut cutting machine can take digital designs created in the Cricut Design Space and print/cut their project onto sticker paper, vinyl, and other soft materials.

  • For more information on how you can be successful using the Cricut take a look at our Getting Started Guide.

After this…

  • Attendees will learn about the art of Sublimation which uses heat to transfer graphics, like the ones taken with your phone, and transfer them to ‘blanks’ such as tee shirts, puzzles, mugs, and wood.
