Discussing author Annie Proulx.  Proulx is an American novelist, short story writer, & journalist. Proulx works are filled with quirky individuals & unconventional families. She won the Pulitzer Prize & the National Book Award for her novel The Shipping News (1993). The critically acclaimed film Brokeback Mountain (2005) was adapted from a story included in Close Range: Wyoming Stories (1999) & her novel Barkskins (2016) was adapted into a miniseries in 2020.
