Connecticut State Historian emeritus, Dr. Walter Woodward, shares the life-long struggles of American artist John Trumbull (1756-1843). Trumbull was the son of Connecticut Governor Jonathan Trumbull.

Travel back to colonial America and explore how people captured memories before photography! Children will create their own traditional silhouette portraits using historic art techniques, then design a decorative frame to complete their artwork.
