Open Library Branch: Cossitt Library Branch Room: Digitizing Station Training Age Group: Adults Program Type: Maker Equipment Training Required Seats Remaining: 4 Digitizing Demo and Training Join us in the makerspace for a demonstration and training on a variety of equipment that converts old technology into new, digital formats. The components include vinyl, cassette tapes, VHS, DVD, CD, slides, photos and 8 mm film. For more information on how you can be successful Digitizing your media and see what formats we can digitize take a look at our Getting Started Guide. Upon completion of this training, attendees will be certified to reserve and use the equipment through our Library Calendar website. ----------------- Age Requirements All patrons, 10 and up should sign up individually. Registration is required for all active and passive participants. Children under the age of 10 are not allowed in the space. Youth between 10-16 may use the space under the direct supervision of a parent/guardian who has completed a training session with the Makerspace staff. Limit one youth per Adult. Safety and use guidelines: Please follow the guidelines and sign the Patron Equipment Use Agreement and the Patron Code of Conduct while in the Makerspace. (Printed copies of the Use Agreement are available in the Makerspace) Closed-toe shoes are required in the makerspace. This training was made possible in part by the sponsorship of The Friends of the Granby Public Libraries.

Put your creativity and problem-solving skills to the test as you build your very own maze using clay, a box and other fun materials! Will your marble twist, turn or take secret shortcuts? Choose from nail stickers, sublimated art, or decoupage on acrylic to make your very own keychains to keep or exchange. This event is in the "Adults" group. 3D Printing Demo and Training 4:30pm - 5:30pm Adults Open Required This event is in the "Adults" group. Open Library Branch: Cossitt Library Branch Room: Bambu Lab P1S 3D Printer Training Age Group: Adults Program Type: Maker Equipment Training Required Seats Remaining: 4 3D Printing Demonstration and Training Join us in the makerspace for a demonstration and training on how to design for and use the Bambu 3D Printer. Attendees will gain an introductory exposure to how to find a 3d file (STL) on sites like Thingiverse and design their own files with software like Tinkercad. Following this attendees will then learn how to use the Bambu P1S 3d printers to print basic projects. For more information on how you can be successful designing and printing in 3D take a look at our Getting Started Guide.
