Patrons demanded it and we've listened!
Use Google Slides (free with a Google account) to design personalized compositions. This can be as straightforward as placing your personal photo on a digital canvas and adding some effects, cropping the edges, and adding some stylized text, or as intricate as designing complex shapes to use for Cricut or Glowforge design work. Patrons that complete this workshop will have a greater understanding on how they can create digital compositions for sharing on the internet or as input for many of our Makerspace stations. Create cool things with your new design prowess!
Note: You must have a free Google Account in order to participate. If you need help in doing this you can visit our Makerspace for support!

Custom Design Demonstration and Training Session
Join us in the makerspace for a demonstration and training on sublimation and vinyl cutting, with special attention to Cricut and Brother equipment. Attendees will gain an exposure for how the Cricut cutting machine can take digital designs created in the Cricut Design Space and print/cut their project onto sticker paper, vinyl, and other soft materials. For more information on how you can be successful using the Cricut take a look at our Getting Started Guide.
After this… - Attendees will learn about the art of Sublimation which uses heat to transfer graphics, like the ones taken with your phone, and transfer them to ‘blanks’ such as tee shirts, puzzles, mugs, and wood.
