Week Calendar

Babies and their caregivers are invited to join us for an interactive lap-sit program featuring a story, nursery rhymes, songs, and baby sign language. Monthly series, program meets December 3, 10, and 17. For ages birth to 14 months. Registration required. 

Young children and their caregivers are invited to join us for an interactive program featuring nursery rhymes, stories and music activities that promote language development, visual literacy, social and emotional skills. Caregiver participation encouraged. Monthly Series, program meets November 6, 13 & 20. For ages 2 to 4 years. Registration required. 

Toddlers and their caregivers are invited to join us for an interactive program featuring a story, nursery rhymes, songs, and sign language. Monthly series, program meets December 5, & 12. For ages 12 to 24 months (or when children who are walking) 

Join us for a relaxing movie experience at the library. Unwind with a mix of classic films and hidden gems that cater to all tastes. Whether you're a movie buff or just looking for a pleasant way to spend your afternoon, the Monday Movie Matinee is the perfect opportunity to enjoy a film in the company of fellow community members.

Join us in the makerspace for a demonstration and training on the GlowForge Pro laser cutter.  The Glowforge laser cutter is a versatile desktop device that uses a laser to cut, engrave, and score a variety of materials such as wood, acrylic, leather, fabric, and more.

• Attendees will learn how to design a file for successful engraving/cutting using Google Slides, Photopea, or the Glowforge’s native design environment and how to safely and sustainably operate the Glowforge Pro laser engraver.

• Upon completion of this training, attendees will be certified to reserve and use the equipment through our Library Calendar website.

Age Requirements

• All patrons, 10 and up should sign up individually.  Registration is required for all active and passive participants.
• Children under the age of 10 are not allowed in the space.
• Youth between 10-16 may use the space under the direct supervision of a parent/guardian who has completed a training session with the Makerspace staff.  Limit one youth per Adult.

Safety and use guidelines:

• Please follow the guidelines and sign the Patron Equipment Use Agreement and the Patron Code of Conduct while in the Makerspace.  (Printed copies of the Use Agreement are available in the Makerspace)
• Closed-toe shoes are required in the makerspace.

Join us in the makerspace for a demonstration and training on sublimation and vinyl cutting, with special attention to Cricut and Brother equipment.  

• Attendees will gain an exposure for how the Cricut cutting machine can take digital designs created in the Cricut Design Space and print/cut their project onto sticker paper, vinyl, and other soft materials.

After this…

• Attendees will learn about the art of Sublimation which uses heat to transfer graphics, like the ones taken with your phone, and transfer them to ‘blanks’ such as tee shirts, puzzles, mugs, and wood.
