Grann’s enthralling nonfiction work tells the gripping narrative of the ill-fated HMS Wager, a British man-of-war that met its tragic end off of the Patagonian coastline in 1741. Grann’s research is based on the harrowing experiences of the survivors who endured months of isolation on a desolate island. Leading the discussion is John Rusnock. Registration is requested.
