Unravel the mystery of seed collection when you learn how to identify and select seeds at the appropriate time and how to store the seeds for future use. The focus in this second session will be on wild grasses and weeds, shrubs and trees. Aubrey Schulz, President, Friends of the Granby Wildflower Meadow, leads a helpful presentation Wednesday, August 6, 6:30 - 7:30 PM at the library. You are encouraged to attend session I prior to participating in session II Saturday, August 9, 9:30 - 11:00 AM at Holcomb Farm, but it is not required.
Important information - Session II participants may park at the Holcomb Farm parking lot south of the farmhouse. The group will meet there on the lawn prior to crossing Simsbury Road and heading up the trail on the East Side of the property.
Please dress appropriately for a moderate hike on uneven trails and meadowland. Attendees are responsible for their own water and any other items needed for their time outdoors.
Sponsored by Friends of Granby Wildflower Meadow, The Friends of the Granby Public Libraries, and Friends of Holcomb Farm.
