Event Details

Learn about field collecting from an accomplished rockhound. Discover how to read the geology of the land during a mineral search. Hold the tools of the trade and view a variety of samples from around the world. 

About the presenter:

Mark Gottlieb is serious about his minerals. He travels far and wide to collect, identify and study rock and mineral specimens using specialized tools and techniques. While a passionate field collector of natural treasures, Mark is also an accomplished glass blower. He became intrigued with the art form in 2006 and ultimately built a hot shop in 2015.

Mark attended classes in The Studio at Corning Museum of Glass, Snow Farm New England Craft Program and Franklin Pierce University.
