Program Description

Event Details

Every song has an origin story- something that inspired the songwriter. Connecticut musician and songwriter Dean Bolt shares how he creates music and performs original pieces on acoustic guitar. Register to attend.

Sponsored by The Friends of the Granby Public Libraries.

More about Dean and the program - Dean Bolt is a singer songwriter who grew up in Willimantic CT surrounded by local garage bands, Shaboo bands and other great musicians who went on to successful music careers. He wasn’t one of them. However, he did find his way to a music career later in his life and is currently working on recording his first CD. The program and performance will examine the process which most songwriters use to create music - the origin story. You're invited to enjoy hearing Dean sing, play guitar, and break down songs to illustrate the different ways songs are created.
