About the instructor:

Annukka Ritalahti began working with glass in 1980. She became a professional artist in 1988 and worked from her original studio and shop in Tampere, Finland until 2014. Today she creates art, teaches others in glass working techniques, and works alongside her husband, Mark, in their North Granby, Connecticut studio.

While her public artworks are in Finland, her art has found it’s way to private residences around the world. Annukka's glass works were featured in several private art exhibitions in galleries in Europe. Her art continues to be accepted at juried art shows and she is often invited to exhibit her artwork for special occasions.

Annukka has taught both professional and hobby students since 1988. Her range of techniques and mediums includes stained glass, mosaics, painting, flame working, and jewelry. She continues to create art and teach in the USA, and enjoys bringing her visions to life and inspiring others to do the same with their art.
