Discover local hikes and hear information first-hand from author and avid hiker, Sarah O'Hare. Those interested in an author-signed book may purchase one after the program at a discount of $20, cash or check. Books retail for $24.95 at Barnes & Noble, REI, and Amazon. The program is geared for adults and not the little trekkers. Please enjoy the presentation sans kids and share your newfound knowledge with them on the trail.

Hiking with Kids Connecticut is a guide to 45 amazing hikes for families with children that feature some of the best, yet family friendly, hiking areas in the state. Each hike chapter features color photos and a map of the hiking area. All the basic information—from trailhead GPS to best times to go to fees and contacts—will be there, along with trail descriptions geared directly for the kids.

Sponsored by The Friends of the Granby Public Libraries.
